about me

I began professionally tattooing in 2013 after apprenticing with Chris Dingwell and Jennifer Moore at Sanctuary Tattoo. After working at Sanctuary for a few years, I opened the doors of the Black Hen Studio in South Portland with my friend and business partner Danielle Madore. We are currently celebrating 4 years of owning and operating a thriving beautiful shop.

Throughout the years I have  had the good fortune of working with and getting tattooed by many talented artists. Drawing on their knowledge and experience has helped me further my own skills. I also have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and create work outside of tattooing. Working in other mediums is very important to me. It keeps my mind open, my eye more discerning and helps to influence my aesthetic sensibilities.

And really it’s just fun to smoosh some clay or throw paint around!

I pride myself on being adaptable and imaginative in order to bring my clients vision to life. Collaborating with my clients is the most fulfilling part of my job. I get to help people tell their stories, document important moments and celebrate their bodies. Thank you for your interest in my work!
